Aura Romper Crochet Pattern

This romper is constructed in a single piece, worked vertically and without side seams, featuring a beautiful texture pattern down the center. It’s a unisex project with a romantic vintage feel. The stitches used create a very fresh and lightweight texture, perfect for warmer weather.

This pattern is also a great opportunity to learn how to combine different textures, reliefs, and lace stitches to achieve perfect harmony.

Construction

The romper is worked in one piece, starting from the side and working vertically. Once the entire piece is crocheted, you join the front and back sides together with a seam (using crochet).

Yarn and Materials

Yarn: light DK (Sport) weight  cotton yarn (WPI: 12)

• Yarn in grams: Newborn: 70, 0-3 months: 78, 3-6 months: 87, 6-9 months: 97, 9-12 months: 110, 12-18 months: 125, 24 months: 140
• Yarn in ounces: Newborn: 2.4, 0-3 months: 2.7, 3-6 months: 3, 6-9 months: 3.4, 9-12 months: 3.8, 12-18 months: 4.4, 24 months: 4.9

Yarn Used in Sample: Charme de Círculo (100% Mercerized Cotton. 396 meters in 150 grams / 433 yards in 5.29 oz)

• Hook: 4mm (US: G-6)
• Other: 5 buttons

Gauge

19 stitches and 20 rows in a 10x10 cm (4x4 in) after blocking.

The swatch was made using a Double Slip Stitch (DSlSt) worked in the back loop only  with a 4mm hook.
